In May 2013 Rhomberg Bahntechnik GmbH has been awarded for the construction of the slab track for Citybanan Stockholm as subcontractor of Strukton Rail AB.
The acquisition covered the construction of about 450 meters of doubletrack line with 118 meters of double diamond crossing.
The construction site has been located within an immersed tunnel ("Sänktunnel") 30 meters beyound the sea level. The construction of the slab track has been designed on the technical limits with the maximum thickness of 24 centimeters of reinforced concrete, as light massfeathersystem.
Under the guidance of Rhomberg Bahntechnik the subsidiary companies Rhomberg Gleisbau GmbH, Rhomberg Rail Consult and Rhomberg Technologie & Entwicklung were successfully coping the challenging task.
